Nik is taking a time out from gigging as he recovers from his hip operation. The Judge Trev Memorial at the Brunwick in Brighton & Hove on 25th Jan is still going ahead with the rest of the band, but Nik won't be performing.
Joe Banks' book about Hawkwind in the 70s, "Days of the Underground - Radical Escapism in the Age Of Paranoia" is available for pre-order from Strange Attractor. There's a limited special edition with a bonus book of interviews and other goodies.
The Clyvedon Press is honoured to be publishing a new anthology of Robert Calvert’s poems, prose and plays. Compiled with the full authorisation and involvement of Robert’s estate, the anthology will comprise three casebound volumes and one CD, all housed in a slip case, totalling over 1500 pages. The anthology will include a substantial find of previously unknown and unpublished material that was re-discovered in 2016.

Flame Tree featuring Nik Turner is an experimental jazz fusion album featuring Nik Turner (sax and flute), Dennis Rea (guitar), Paul 'PK' Kemmish (acoustic bass) and Jack Gold-Molina (drums), available on Purple Pyramid via Cleopatra Records. The album was produced by Jack Gold-Molina and features original tracks from a single recording session.
Nik Turner and Flame Tree performed at Sonic Rock Solstice on June 19th. Nik, Jack and Dennis were joined by Nazar from ICU on bass.
